These impacts include climate-polluting greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide, as well as ecosystem pollution to water and land.

GABI measures the impact harm to the climate and biodiversity and calculates the financial cost to the environment. This cost is the amount that should be provided as a 'Return to Nature' to fund improvements and regenerate the environment.

The harm costs form the "Planet Tip", a discretionary element to enable businesses to give back to the environment.
